BIG GAME

The football rivalry between St. Johnsbury Academy and Lyndon Institute dates back to 1894 and is one of the oldest sport rivalries in New England.

It’s a tradition that continued this past Saturday at the Robert K. Lewis Field in Lyndonville, where the Lyndon Institute Vikings were able to come out on top against the St. Johnsbury Hilltoppers.
The Vikings entered the game with a record of 1-6 for the season, while the Hilltoppers were at 3-5.

Some were surprised when the 105th game played between the two teams ended up as a complete shutout, with a final score of 14-0.

News7's Adam Chick was there to catch the highlights of the big game.
