End of Season Competition
This weekend Burke Mountain will be hosting the biggest ski event that Vermont has seen in nearly 30 years.
Now never mind a less then stellar ski season, this weekend Burke Ski Mountain will be hosting the 2010 Noram Finals. Joe Kasprzak of Burke Mountain said, "We are really proud and excited for the biggest event in almost 30 years."
The skiers will start at the top of the mountain and speed down at nearly 70mph. Many skiers from around the country and Europe are expected to be here this weekend. In a competition that is considered a stepping stone to the Olympics and Winter X Games.
The U.S. Ski Coach Josh Applegate feels as if the weather this weekend should not affect the races, just like it didn't in Vancouver.
Now to help promote the event, Burke Mountain is offering special deals on lift tickets during the competition.
