LYNDON - In 1896, Lyndon Institute lost the first ever match up against St. Johnsbury Academy.  Lyndon Institute has only won 41 of the 106 rivalry games against St. Johnsbury.  This Saturday, Lyndon Institute will hope to make it one more.

LYNDONVILLE - The sport of Ultimate Frisbee is a fairly new one. The sport started in 1968 at Columbia High School in New Jersey.

ST. JOHNSBURY - They have played three games thus far, and now the Saint Johnsbury boys lacrosse team is hoping the fourth time is a charm as they look to grab their first win of the season tomorrow when they play Randolph High School at home.

BARRE - It was a close battle in Barre Saturday, and Danville got within points of the Twinfield Trojans. Despite making a run in the fourth quarter the Danville Indians fell to the Trojans 64-58.

-This past Saturday the Lyndon Vikings played the Thetford Academy Panthers, all goals were scored in the first half by the Panthers making the final score four to zero Panthers.

Now that spring has sprung, spring sports have the chance to get back outside and begin to get ready for another season.  And with that here comes the spring track and field athletes of the, St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers.

The football rivalry between St. Johnsbury Academy and Lyndon Institute dates back to 1894 and is one of the oldest sport rivalries in New England.

It’s a tradition that continued this past Saturday at the Robert K. Lewis Field in Lyndonville, where the Lyndon Institute Vikings were able to come out on top against the St. Johnsbury Hilltoppers. 

The Lyndon Institute field hockey team took to the field against the Rice Green Knights on Tuesday, for their third straight shutout loss. In rainy weather, Kristin Skeffington put a goal in the net for the Green Knights just 10 minutes into the game.

The Lyndon Institute boys baseball team improved their record to 2-0 yesterday after an outstanding pitching performance by Buddy Lamothe.
