BARNET - The Department of Environmental Conservation has asked the town of Barnet to continue groundwater testing on the property of the former town garage.

The reason for the testing is to lower the levels of petroleum in the ground to below state standards. This request is very similar to the one brought to the former Passumpsic Village Store; where old underground storage tanks have been previously removed and contaminated the ground.

LYNDONVILLE - The Lyndonville Police Department has been busy in recent weeks investigating several local burglaries through out the villages of Lyndon.

The most recent occurrence was the burglary of the cabinet company Northend Hardwoods sometime during the night of November 5th, 2010. The suspect(s) entered the property and stole an undisclosed amount of wood from the business.
