Hundreds of people assembled at the Union Baptist church in St. Johnsbury Tuesday to remember the life of Jacob Kadamus. Family doctor, Mark Price spoke about the well remembered life of Kadamus, saying, "I wouldn't be surprised if Jake is watching us now. He's probably got a grin on his face. He's probably up there snapping his fingers... and I can imagine Jake saying 'This is sweet, I brought 500 people to church today'."

WHEELOCK- Lyndon Institute students were released early this morning when school headmaster, Rick Hilton notified them that they had lost a beloved classmate. 17 year old Jacob Kadamus was killed early this morning in hunting accident when his father accidentally shot him. A preliminary investigation revealed that Jacob had apparently left his original hunting area and crossed into his father's unknowingly. Kevin Kadamus discharged his gun shooting at what he believed to be a turkey, but instead struck his son.

A water main break in St. Johnsbury was the cause of many head aches for locals Thursday morning. While the St. Johnsbury community was left without water, the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital had to virtually shut down for most of the day.

The ice is out at Joe's Pond... or is it? Thanks to some help from mother nature, the Ice Out at Joe's Pond has ended a little earlier than expected. Due to warm temperatures and some very windy conditions on the night of April 20th, the pallet and sixty pound cinder block shifted some seventy-five feet down Joe's Pond disconnecting the wires, stopping the clock. While the pallet and cinder block didn't fall through the ice and still continue to sit on the ice, it is still considered an ice out. The time that the ice went out...
