BURLINGTON-President Obama made a visit to the University of Vermont earlier today. During his latest stop on the campaign trail, he gave a speech reaching out to Vermonters saying that he is working to bring major change to Washington, especially in regards to insurance and equal pay.
It has been confirmed by State Police that at approximately 1:30 Monday afternoon, a body was found in Barnet, in a wooded area off of Comerford Dam Road. The body has now been identified as 33 year-old Melissa Jenkins who was reported missing at approximately 11:30 Sunday night by a friend.
BARNET - It has been confirmed by State Police that at approximately 1:30 this afternoon, a body was found in Barnet, in a wooded area off of Comerford Dam Road. The body is being described as a young female, and will be taken to a medical examiner in Burlington for an autopsy scheduled for tomorrow.
Police believe it could be the body of Melissa Jenkins who was reported missing last night, but an official identification has not been made.
ST. JOHNSBURY- Police are looking for 33 year-old Melissa Jenkins of St. Johnsbury. Jenkins was reported missing by a friend at approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday night.
St. Johnsbury- The bodies found in a home at 121 Caledonia Street St. Johnsbury yesterday afternoon have now been Identified as 50 year-old Penny Birch, and her husband 55 year-old David Birch and Police have concluded that the deaths were the result of a Murder-Suicide.
A two car collision by the St. Johnsbury Country Club resulted in 1 person being sent to the hospital. We will have more details as they become available.
