An accident involving a motorcylist occurred Sunday April 25, at 3:30pm.

The collision between a car and motorcycle happened along Route US-2, in front of the Kirby Golf Course.

Shawn Pelow, 24, of North Troy, was attempting to turn into the Golf Course's parking lot when his 1996 Honda Civic struck a Honda motorcycle driven by Daniel York, 31, of St Johnsbury.

There are many cosmetic uses for tanning and many people lay under the rays to look darker, but there are also people who tan for medical reasons.

Tanning is caused by ultraviolet or UV radiation hitting the body and penetrating into the dermal layer of skin. Limited exposure causes skin to darken or tan. According the Elizabeth Carruth of Vanderbilt, tanning beds and sun lamps generally only give off 93%-99% of UVA radiation, which increases the benefits of a tan. This percentage is three times the radiation given off by the sun.

The Bingo game we all know originated from Italy. The game is part of their lottery system and dates back to 1530 when Italy was united.

While the Ladies Auxiliary haven't been playing quite that long, they too have a long history of Bingo that dates back approximately 30 plus years (nobody could remember the actual date). They meet once a week at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building and welcome anyone from the community to enjoy in some food, and visit with some friendly faces while playing the popular game of Bingo.
