NORTHEAST KINGDOM- Fish that have been pulled from the rivers of Vermont have been detected to be slightly radioactive.

Fish that were pulled from Lake Carmine and also from the Connecticut River (near Vermont Yankee) have tested positive for strontium and cesium. Cesium was found in both edible and inedible portions of the bass and strontium was found only in inedible portions, which include bones, and the head.

The worst section to find radio activity in a fish is said to be in the edible areas, but Rick Goreham, owner of Rick's gun shop does not find it to be a big deal. "The amounts that they are finding are not something, you're going to eat 1,00 fish in order to have a problem"
