The Penn Traffic Company based out of Syracuse, New York has decided to file for Chapter Eleven bankruptcy and is attempting to sell all Seventy-Nine of their P&C, Quality and Bi-Lo stores. One of those stores is located in Bradford, where many people will not only lose jobs but also the convenience of having a local grocery store. Residents in the area will now have to travel much further to get the items they need and they are not too happy.

Robert Ritter a Bradford resident says "Well its a shame to be loosing this supermarket here there is no other place to shop close by you know, you have to travel a long distance and of course as far as the jobs being lost that’s a shame as well."

The stores currently have until February 15th 2010 to be sold.
