A Welcome Sign
Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
The town of concord was established in 1781, and just recently received its welcome sign.

For the past three years Concord has been working toward the development of a welcome sign to the town. After receiving property from Vicki and Paul Burgeron and getting the idea past by the select board construction began. The committee crafted their idea around Lyndon’s welcome sign, after visiting towns around the northeast kingdom to get ideas. The slogan on the sign is four seasons of paradise and the picture they decided to use on the top s of Shadow Lake located in west Concord. Karl Goulding, who led the committee, finished what he originally started.
The town is waiting for an approval from a land owner to put up the second one.
