No Solution for Heavy Traffic

LITTLETON - Officials are looking to improve the traffic flow between old county road and the new McDonald's.

The intersection between the two on Route 302 is causing problems for drivers.  Larger vehicles are struggling to fit inside Old County Road, as it is much smaller due to the construction of McDonald's.

Since there is less room in that area, there are fewer parking spaces, which has led to drivers parking illegally in a vacant lot alongside the road.

Officials have not yet come up with a solution, but they are exploring their options to find a way to improve incoming and outgoing traffic around the McDonald's.

Fred Moody, Interim Town Manager says "A truck may pull in and is waiting for cars to exit, but they can't exit because there are other cars trying to get by.  It's just a difficult site."
