john hall finalCALEDONIA COUNTY- Although he is on his way out as the St. Johnsbury Town Manager, John Hall has been elected one of the two seats for Caledonia County Assistant Judge alongside Incumbent Roy C. Vance.

Hall beat out Independent challenger Michael Roosevelt as the seat was left open by former Assistant Judge William Kennedy.

Roy C. Vance claims this will be his final term serving as one of the Assistant Judges. He first ran back in 1987 and has served ever since for 28 years.

Vance emphasizes the fairness and honesty that comes with being an Assistant Judge, as he has been known to take himself off of cases in which he feels he might show bias in.

In the past, he's worked on small claims. Such claims include traffic violations, divorces, and family matters.

John Hall says he looks forward to serving a term with Vance, because the two are good friends and Hall believes Vance will be an "excellent mentor" as the two start meeting together quickly in order to go over the position.

Hall has law experience that he will carry with him as he takes on the new position. Hall's experience various from when he served on the Legislature Committee as Chairman to being an Administrator for both local and state government.
