lisa warrenNORTHEAST KINGDOM- Lisa Warren, Incumbent State's Attorney, is running unopposed for Caledonia County this election day.

In 2009, Warren was appointed to state's attorney by former Governor Jim Douglas. Warren filled the position following the retirement of Bob Butterfield.

Previously, Warren has been a member of the Northeast Kingdom Domestic Violence Task Force, as well as the Vulnerable Adults Task Force.

She has always enjoyed working with the law and was eager for the position when it became available a few years ago. Warren considers helping victims find justice as the most important part of her job.

"Every time I charge a case and carry it out to fruition, whether it's by plea agreement, jury verdict, or court decision I want to make sure that justice is done at the end of the case. If justice means the person is found guilty or pleas guilty, I want to make sure that's the right outcome, and then what would be the appropriate sentence or outcome be," said Warren.

She also believes that one of the reasons her re-election is so important is because of her involvement as prosecutor in the Prue Case.
