hassan in littletonLITTLETON - New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan (D) started her day off yesterday walking around Littleton's Main Street Revitalization Project. On September 22nd Hassan addressed the Littleton Economic Development Summit, delivering the keynote speech.

Her goal was to see the role that Littleton is playing in Vermont's economic development. Hassan has many plans in works right now. She is striving to create more jobs, to provide more opportunites for the middle class and to stimulate the economy. In order to bring these plans to reality Hassan says that she hopes to impove roadways, expand the access to health insurance and to make starting businesses easier by improving the states technology.

To acheive these goals Hassan believes that the key is a strong sense of community. Hassan said, "We are an all hands on deck state. When we face a challenge, the people of New Hampshire roll up our sleeves and we come together to get things done. That is how you are revitalizing Main Street right here in Littleton. That is how together, we will keep New Hampshire, and the north country moving in the right direction."

The revitlization to Main Street are not the only changes in the town of Littleton. Plans to improve their River District is also in the works, as another part of the Revitlization Project.
