ST.JOHNSBURY-Farmers from across the Northeast Kingdom gathered at the Comfort Inn in St. Johnsbury, to review a water quality draft that relates to Act 64. Act 64 which was passed earlier this year, improves the quality of the state's water. The act also serves as a way to regulate agricultural practices.

ST. JOHNSBURY -- Correctional Officers at the Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury say working in a prison is not as scary as one might think, but it definitely has its challenges.

ST. JOHNSBURY- The Community Restorative Justice Center is need of almost 70 volunteers to spend a year helping recently incarcerated citizens find their footing again and to live a crime free life. Volunteers are an important aspect of this program as the center relies on them to work with high-risk offenders. According to Executive Director, Susan Cherry; the main goal of having the volunteers work with them for a year is to help Vermonters feel safer, and to help the former inmates find their place after leaving jail.
St. Johnsbury- Around 3:15pm Sunday afternoon, a trooper from the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury barracks struck another vehicle in East St. Johnsbury while responding to a domestic dispute call.

For the past eight months, Philip Aldridge and Nicole Daigneault have been raising chickens and ducks but this all changed when a neighbor's dog got loose and killed some of them.

ST. JOHNSBURY- Former Vermont State Representative Bob South was in Caledonia County Court early Thursday morning to accept a plea deal. South pled guilty to disorderly conduct and also violating conditions of release.
ST JOHNSBURY- St. Johnsbury Police Department’s K-9 , Bodie has received a vest that will protect him from stab and bullet wounds while he’s on patrol. This vest was a result of fundraising from the Groupon Grassroots Campaign for Vested interest in K9’s incorporated; which has raised over $335,000 for law enforcement k9 ballistic vests.
St. JOHNSBURY - A discussion involving poor water pressure at Monday night’s selectboard meeting gained even more precedence after another water main break occurred this morning on Portland Street. With the rupture this morning, Saint Johnsbury has seen five this year.

ST. JOHNSBURY - Although Dog Mountain has been a staple in the Northeast Kingdom since founder's Stephen Huneck and his wife, Gwendolyn Ide Huneck, purchased it in 1995, the popular tourist destination -- a haven for both dogs and dog owners -- has been struggling to make ends meet.

ST. JOHNSBURY – Homelessness in Vermont has been an ongoing problem, and for the twelfth year in a row, the Northeast Kingdom Youth Services did their part to help. Members of the community took to the streets on Saturday in St. Johnsbury to raise awareness and money for homeless youth.
ST. JOHNSBURY- For the second time this year, another water main break has occured. A construction crew arrived around 8am at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Concord Avenue where water was streaming down the streets.
