SAINT JOHNSBURY- The 18th Annual Vermont Broadcast Associates Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday. It was a memorable day for children in the community.
The Easter egg hunt is not time just for families to be together, but they get to be with each other and friends in their communities.
The best part of the day was, "when the kids see the bunny and it gets them ready for the Easter egg hunt," said KIX 105.5's Val Davis.
While the Bunny posed for pictures, some kids decided it would be a good time to scope out the field to see where the golden egg is.
If you find the golden egg, you win the ultimate prize - a large basket with lots of goodies. There are three age groups - so three baskets up for grabs.
One winner of the basket, Aubrielle Gibson, told us where she found the golden egg.
"I found it in the little tree, my mom said to look there, she was right, I am so excited to open it and have all the candy," Gibson said.
Cassandra Suliveres, the basket winner's aunt, told us that it's not just about winning the basket.
"It's really good to have all the community come out here and have kids look for eggs and how they do it, Suliveres said. "It's really good. I'm not from this area, they don't do stuff like this in the city. I think it's really good."
