Prue Murder Trails Moved out of Caledonia County

ST.JOHNSBURY- Superior Court Judge, Robert Bent, has approved the request to move the trails of Patricia and Allen Prue out of the county. The Prue’s are accused of the murder of St.Johnsbury teacher, Melissa Jenkins.

The court ruled that due to Jenkins popularity, the support of the community, and the media coverage of the case, the Prues constitutional right to a fair trial is being threatened. The amount of community support her and her son have received leads the court believe they will have trouble finding an impartial jury and hope by moving it out of the county, the jury will be less biases.

They have yet to announce which county the trails will be moved to.
