St._J_recount.jpgSaint Johnsbury- A passing of the town's budget caused some controversy as the budget only passed by three votes. Three members of the town requested a recount of ballots because it was so close.

 

The select board brought in four boxes to the Black Box Threatre at Saint Johnsbury Academy this past sunday. Over 1400 votes had to be recounted. 

After an hour of counting ballots by hand the final vote was passed by a count of 711 votes to 707 votes.
