st. j bandST.JOHNSBURY- This Veteran's day the St. Johnsbury community band will be heard playing to the tune of remembrance as they take the stage for a benefit concert for the St. Johnsbury Heritage Museum and to honor the veterans.

People of all ages can be found in the St. Johnsbury community band people as young as 11 and others can be up to the age of 80. The band held their final rehearsal for the concert Monday night at the North Congregational Church practicing songs before the civil war era and the world war eras.

One of the youngest members of the band is 11 year old Kaci Cochran. Cochran plays percussion for the band and despite the vast age difference the youngster feels like she fits right in with the rest of the group.

"It's different, but it's definitely a lot of fun playing with people that are kind of my level. It's a lot of fun. I'm kind of used to playing with adults," Cochran said.

The St. Johnsbury band will take stage along with Pumpkin Hill Singers and Windrose on November 11th at 7pm at the North Congregational Church. To find out more information about the band check out the St. Johnsbury Community Band's website.
