bob southST. JOHNSBURY- Former Vermont State Representative Bob South was in Caledonia County Court early Thursday morning to accept a plea deal.  South pled guilty to disorderly conduct and also violating conditions of release. 

 

South's charge of disorderly conduct was an amendment from the original charge of domestic assault.  State Police say South grabbed a family member by the throat on May 8th 2015 after a dispute.

South, who is a Democrat, was elected into office in 2008 as a State Representative. He served Caledonia-3 District until he lost in the November 2014 elections.
 
South was sentenced to pay a fine of $650.
