job fairSt. Johnsbury - Job seekers had the ability to go to the second annual Creative Workforce Solutions job fair at the St. Johnsbury school today.

 

"VABIR is a part of a group called Creative Workforce Solutions, a state of Vermont initiative, so we actually have a bunch of state departments and a bunch of local community departments coming together twice a month and this is one of the events that we put on under CWS." said Todd Gratton, VABIR business account manager.

It is recommended that the job seekers dress as if they are attending an interview, with a resumé, cover letter, and a good attitude.

Over 30 companies attended, all with the common goal of helping people find jobs.

Employment Consultant Maria McIntyre said, "What motivates me is when I'm successful in getting a person a job. It's always in the back of my mind if I can help one person get a job, to me its amazing, such a life-changing event for them, and I can see it and feel it."
