together worksST. JOHNSBURY- The town of Saint Johnsbury recieved a $1,275 grant from the Vermont Community Foundation. 

The TogetherWorks grant goes towards providing opportunities for the local youth to attend a weekly "Open Mic Night" to learn about the entertainment field from professionals. 

"Well, I'm just hoping that it will bring in a lot of students," said Anne Campbell, the program manager, "We're going to try start getting the word out."

Open Mic nights are held at the Catamount Outback Art Space, using the money received by the TogetherWorks grant. This event will be held throughout the year, open to the community with professionals also attending the event to give feedback.

This is the first time that they have applied for this grant.
