LYNDON- The Cobleigh library used to be filled with young ones learning and reading in the childrens room. Due to flooding the childrens room was close, but will soon be making a come back.
On October first, a decision to borrow fifty-thousand dollars to the repair the childrens room was made.
It's been over a year since the kids of North East Kingdom have been able to enjoy this room in the library and the citizens of Cobleigh are anxious for its return.
The cause of the flooding in the childrens room was due to a pipe bursting, the fifty-thousand dollars will not cover the cost to repair the pipe but it will be enough to make the room functional again.
Residents remain un-easy about the pipe not being repaired and that issue will be revisted in a future Cobleigh selectboard meeting.
The Chair of the Lyndon Selectboard, Marty Feltus, is ready to move on with improving the room "Now that we have the authorization to actually spend the money then we will go ahead and proceed as quickly as we can, we hope to have it done by Christmas."
The Library will be expected to pay back all of the borrowed fifty thousand at a later date.
