Healthy Eating for Seniors

lyndon seniorsLYNDONVILLE - A six week workshop is being put on for seniors at the Lyndon Action Center.

According to Lallie Mambourg a big issue that seniors deal with are high blood pressure and with that, making sure not to digest too much salt.


The group discusses different health topics each week from going to the grocery store and checking labels on different foods to holding a cooking demonstration" it does make it a little more clear on how to moderate your diet and how to keep it balanced."

The group meets every Wednesday at 1p.m. for the next 5 weeks at the Lyndon Action Center

A new law was passed in the state of New Hampshire pressing restaurants to not provide straws for customers unless specifically asked to do so. A few Vermont restaurants have already taken to this practice without a law in place.
