Twilight Players Giving Back

haley marckresLyndon- Weeks of preparation will soon be ending as the Students of the Lyndon State College theater club will be ready to perform this upcoming weekend on December 4th, in the Alexander Twilight Theater.

The play is called The Holiday Spectacular, an original play written by two Lyndon State College students that are currently in the theater club, Jake Machell and Haley Marckres.

The club takes pride in putting on most of their plays for little or no charge at all, the group usually asks only for donations. However, with the holiday spirit in mind the club decided to give back to the community a little differently this time around.

"This is the first time that we have donation by a possible non-perishable food item. Usually it's by donation anyways, so were trying something else to give back to the community and help out," Haley Marckres said.

The twilight players will take the donated, non-perishable food items to local charities such as the Neighbors Helping Neighbors fund.

Twilight players also encourage the donating of new unwrapped toys. The toys will then be given to HOPE in Lyndonville, in time for the holiday season.

Machell and Marckres are hoping their one of a kind play brings the audience a night filled with joyful laughs and family fun. This unique creation brings together many of the classic holiday stories that most love and know.

The Holiday Spectacular starts this Saturday at 7:30PM.
