LYNDON- With the winter sports season about to start teams are starting to practice and prepare for their upcoming games, but one school sport has had an interesting offseason. Lyndon Institute was on the hunt for a new Boys Varsity Hockey Coach this offseason, and the school made some significant progress. Their new coach is from a different state, and has a lot of experience with the sport.

"We are pleased to announce the hire of Chris Meunier as our new varsity boys hockey coach." Said LI Director of Communications Gloria Bruce. Hockey has been a part of Chris's life since childhood and served as a four year varsity player at Essex Junction High School.

After high school he continued to stay involved with the sport as an adult hockey player and also served as the assistant coach and head coach for both Westfield hockey and Spring High School hockey in Houston Texas.

Before hiring Chris Lyndon Institue had to face some challenges when it came to finding the right person for the job. "One of the greatest challenges, beyond finding individuals who have all of their certifications in place order to coach at the high school level, is finding someone who has the passion for our team and a passion for this sport that has the flexibility in their schedule to serve this role." Said LI Director of Athletics Paul Wheeler.

The Vikings will begin practicing on November 29th as they prepare for their upcoming season.
