DANVILLE- Between the hours of two and five on Wednesday afternoons, the center of Danville transforms into a community farmers market.
Many vendors show up trying to sell fruits and vegetables and even handmade goods to anybody who happens to walk through the market.
Zane Bush is a woodworker who makes bowls and utensils and says that, "we are here every week to sell our wares and to have a good time."
"A lot of people come to the market and bring their dog," said Elizabeth Everts the coordinator of the Danville Farmers Market.
The market is trying something new this fall, opening during hours that run in the afternoon to better fit people's schedule as they get out of work or school.
Everts also says people come to the market to talk with the farmers.
"It is fun to talk with the gardeners about gardening."
And while Everts doesn't know the exact number of people who show up each week she says that people are speaking positively about their experience, and that those comments are always encouraging.
