Fenton Chester Arena Closed Due To Damage

Fenton Arena LYNDON - The Fenton Chester Arena in Lyndon Vermont experienced some extensive damage on friday due to snow build up.

The Lyndon fire department cleaned excess snow off the arena's roof to prevent any further damages.

The arena posted yesterday on their Facebook page that they are currently still waiting on a contractor to fix the current damages. Until then the arena is closed off to all community members and local sports teams that use the facility.

"Today and tomorrow we would normally send our lacrosse teams up. So we've had to make some adjustments." Says Athletic Director at St. Johnsbury Academy.

The spring sports teams at The St. Johnsbury Academy have been using the arena in recent years until outdoor facilities are accessible. This due to the vast number of sports offered at the school.
