I Scream...You Scream...We all Scream for Ice Cream

With temperatures hitting the 80's this past weekend, one is reminded that summer is indeed on its way. One of the best ways to beat the heat is with a nice frozen treat.
The new ice cream place, Chappy's located on Route 114 in Burke opened this past Friday.
Customers of all ages were there to help support Charlie Chapman, owner of Chappy's, on his opening day. Although all flavors were enjoyed, one crowd favorite was real Vermont maple syrup. Betsy Reader of Burke says she heard that he uses his own syrup.
Chapman was pleased with the turnout, saying that there were around 320-340 customers that showed up to share in his biggest day. When asked about future business he remained optimistic and said "I think it's gonna be really good".
As for other ice cream venues around the Lyndonville area, Carmen's, located at The Lyndon Freighthouse, is open year round for whenever you have the ice cream urge. As for Lyndonville's The Pizza Man, their frozen treats will hopefully be ready for consumption starting the weekend of May 7th.
With the plethora of flavors the Northeast Kingdom has to offer, the only question is which one will you choose?
