Valentines Day Sales
Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

LYNDONVILLE - The flowers were booming this year for one local florist. Daisy Daze ordered 4500 roses for the day and was left with just one yellow rose and one red rose. They also sold out of every other flower except for carnations.Owner Lenore Dwyer says this is the best year she has ever had after owning the business for seven years.
Daisy Daze didn't just sell flowers on this special day. They sold everything from plants to teddy bears to cookies. They also had a specialty item, which included a dozen roses, a vase, chocolate and a festive balloon. The classic roses were the most popular item with workers having a hard time keeping the shelves stocked.
Dwyer says they will now focus on upcoming weddings after many proposals on Valentines Day as well as mothers day.
By next week the Valentines Day decor will be down and Daisy Daze will be ready for spring.
