Monday, March 1st, 2010

The town of Kirby is looking to save money. Due to overcrowding in office buildings such as the Town Office, the town is hoping to figure out a way to create more space. One prospective idea would be to construct some new buildings. With the town budget down due to a surplus in the road department, where will the money come from?
The town of Kirby is eliminating their bus service for students attending Lyndon Town School in this upcoming fall. This will affect roughly 22 students. The elimination of this service however will save an estimated $35,000 a year.
Kirby Town Clerk, Wanda Grant explains the reasoning behind this decision.
