Residents and visitors to East Burke can look forward to a new business that promises to offer something sweet.

Chappy's Ice Cream, located off Route 114 in East Burke will open its windows and freezers on April 29 to the public.

Charlie Chapman, the owner of the store, drives students to the Burke Town Hall and is offering something to the grade that reads the most. Whichever grade wins will get a ride on Chapman's bus to Chappy's for some free ice cream.

Chappy's will offer soft serve and fruit smoothies in addition to many regular ice cream flavors.

Chapman is excited for the opening and has been getting good feedback from the community.
