Sutton On A Saturday Night

The Red Building on Calendar Brook Road may look abandoned if you drive by during the day. But on a Saturday night this is a hopping country hoe-down of Sutton.
Max's Dance Hall usually packs in 150 to 200 people per week and has been open since 1947. During the winter bands from around the northeast kingdom kick off the night with hits from their favorite artists and some original beats.
People gather on the floor to dance and have a good time. Max's owner Douglas La-Bounty says it's the perfect way to beat the blues. Labounty states that, it's a good place to come out and it's a cheap night. Ten dollar cover, bring all the beer you want or bring your own, we have live entertainment, and plenty of room to dance. It seems like they come in grumpy and leave happy.
The doors open every Saturday at 8pm and the rush starts at 10pm.
