The Sutton town constable was able to keep his job yesterday after a close 40-39 vote. Residents were most concerned with the budget and the condition of Calendar Brook Road. Townspeople voted to pave the road which will increase the highway budget to over $235,000.
Tim Simpson, Sutton Selectman, stated, "I'd like to have it done by the first of July. It depends on what the companies are doing you know. We can't get 'em and do it. It's quite a bit of money for our town but it's not a big job compared to the other things we do."
