A new addition to NVRH could help someone you know recieve medical care in a much more timely manner. In rural areas such as the NEK, ambulances can't always get where they need to go fast enough. That shouldn't be a problem anymore now that the helipad at NVRH is up and running.
Pilots from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (D-HART) performed the first test landing took place last week after the final green lights were added around the perimeter to help the pilots see.
Next winter, an underground heating system will be added to help keep the pad clear of snow and ice. NVRH development manager Jim Flynn felt that the test went well.
