Concord residents and students rallied in support of Principal Karl Stein who has been absent from the school for over a month. The Concord School Board announced that Principal Stein has been on administrative leave since mid-October at a Special School Board Meeting held to address the issue. The School Board started the meeting by moving into executive session where they voted to accept the resignation of Principal Karl Stein. When the public was invited back into the room and the announcement of his resignation was made, outrage and tears filled the room. Parents asked the board to revoke their motion and second until the taxpayers have more information on the situation. The board replied saying they voted on information that cannot be released due to confidentially for Principal Stein but that their decision was what was best for the school and especially the students. Karen Call, a member of the Board and a parent, said she voted to keep the children "safe". Full details of Principal Stein's resignation will not be released for 7 days.
