A local resident of Saint Johnsbury is supporting high school students further their education. Nancy Cohen, a Vermonter from birth is planning on giving back to her community hoping to entice one local student to further their education without forgetting their roots and in hopes of them someday giving back to their community as well.

There are some requirements regarding the scholarship. The student must be a resident of Saint Johnsbury, Waterford, Barnet (VT) or Monroe New Hampshire. They must be nominated through the Saint Johnsbury Academy and has to be pursuing a career in either engineering or medicine.

This award will be given in memory of her parents Melvin and Lillian Chouinard.
