More Money for UVM

Chancellor Timothy Donovan
The head of the Vermont State College's thinks that the state is giving the University of Vermont too much money.

Last year, Vermont spent eighty point three million dollars on higher education. UVM received more than half of that amount even though the Vermont State College serves a thousand more students. Of those in the state colleges 84% are Vermont residents who attend one of the five: Castleton State, Community College of Vermont, Johnson State, Vermont Technical, and Lyndon State College. Overall, 68% of The University of Vermont's student body consists of out of state residents. Chancellor Tim Donovan says that formula should not continue, and it most likely is not going to change in the next year.
