Warm days and cold nights are unusual to Vermont in March, but that just means maple sugaring has gotten off to a great start. Typically around this time of year, maple sugarers are completing their first boil.
One person in Lyndonville is already on his third boil, which means Vermont could surpass the massive production from last year.
Vermont produced 920,000 gallons of maple syrup, which was 40% of the United States total.
There are around 4,000 Vermonters involved in sugaring in over 2,500 different locations.
