With the poor economy, local thrift stores have become the hot spots to purchase items in the past few months.

The Hope thrift store in Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury's Salvation Army are becoming busier with families that are less fortunate to shop for their everyday needs.

Their wide range of clothing to books and shoes are highly affordable, and not only is the lower class making the trip, but even the middle class all across the state of Vermont.

Vermonters are slowly starting to accept the idea of purchasing items and clothes in the thrift shop can be a good way to shop.
