Penny Sale

Newslinc has talked to Jennifer Gould. She does not know the exact figure as of yet but she has estimated the net total around $12,000.

The Penny Sale benefiting the Lyndon Rotary Club took place this past Saturday at Lyndon Institute. The fundraiser has happened annually for the past 43 years.

Supporters began lining up outside the locked doors at around 5:00pm. By the time the doors opened at 5:30pm, the line was wrapped around the parking lot. Prizes of all kinds were donated and given to the lucky winners.

The Lyndon Rotary Club is the local chapter of an international group. There are over one million members worldwide. Each Rotarian is a volunteer who works locally, regionally and internationally to help improve communities.

The Penny Sale had the entire auditorium of Lyndon Institute filled up and there were over 300 items being raffled.

Reporter Dave Marks and Photojournalist Dan Crowley were at the Penny Sale and are bringing you the action.
