Budget concerns, consolidation, and a new plan of operation were the key issues at the Blue Mountain Union school board meeting.
School officials clarified that it would not be feasible to combine with other area districts. The school will have to function under a tighter budget, but will be able to maintain every program and even expand the foreign language department. Brian Rayburn, B.M.U. Principal, said, "We looked at our scheduling and found a way to modify our schedules so that we could still offer the same courses even expanding some programs and still keep our budget at a relatively small increase of just over $20,000 from last year."
