Despite the lack of snow this winter, the 2010 Snowflake Festival's kick off was this past weekend, starting February 13th.  Local residents were excited to have their taste buds tickled and to listen to music performed by the younger generations.

The Lyndon Outing Club hosted their second annual Chowdah Fest.  It was five dollars at the door, which benefits the club in its upcoming fiscal year.

There were six different warm chowders for tasters to sample.  The range of chowders was wide from Cheddar Ham chowder to Tuscan Corn chowder gaving something for everyone's bellies to enjoy.

After everyone had their fill of chowder and before the awards were announced, there was kids playing familiar fiddle songs.

Candy Schoppe, a chowder contestant, brought three different chowders for her second attempt this year.  It was her Sausage and Kale that won the hearts of the judges, when she took first place in the competition.
