Pug Rescue

This past Saturday Green Mountain Pug Rescue got 20 new pups from Missouri.

The pugs came from a puppy mill that had to reduce its numbers due to the new legislation that limits the amount of dogs that mills can have. Along with the restriction on numbers the mills must also provide adequate housing, food, water, and exercise for the dogs.

This was the largest rescue that Green Mountain Pug Rescue has ever made. Nine of the twenty pugs came here to Lyndonville where there were foster moms waiting to take them home. All of the pugs will be given all their necessary shots, fixed and kept in foster homes for evaluation.

The transport, and licensing to cross state lines cost twenty five hundred dollars, all of which was covered by donations to GMPR, the majority of the donations came from the GMPR Facebook group which has over one thousand followers.
