ST. JOHNSBURY - Thursday's Osher Series at Catamount Arts featured a very different presentation.

WCAX News Director Anson Tebbetts discussed a hot topic this time of year.  With a new elections just a few months away, Tebbetts talked about how newsrooms deal with political ads.

Along with television, political ads can be seen or heard everywhere from the radio to Facebook.  Even Twitter now has political ads.  Twitter is selling "promoted tweets" to various politicians.

Tebbetts said that Politicians do ads for a various number of reasons.

"One reason they do it is, it enhances their image," said Tebbetts.  "It's the way they communicate to the public about what they want them to hear about them and about the issues."
