Methodikal

What happens when you put a writer and an art director together? You get an award-winning business. Mike Hannigan and Seth Drury both own Methodikal, INC., an advertising business stationed out of Burlington, which help businesses all across Vermont use a smarter and more reliable way of advertising their products.

Hannigan told News 7 that, "Our job is to help our clients articulate what they want to talk about and to do it in an interesting and compelling way that hopefully resonates with the people that view our communications; whether it's a website we develop, advertising, packaging, etc. The medium doesn't matter much to us, it's really just figuring out what the big idea that encompasses what those companies are about."

Methodikal, INC., has worked with some big names in Vermont, including the Vermont Ski Areas Association.
Earlier this month, the duo won the Governor's Award for Marketing Excellence.

They worked to enhance the Ski Vermont Magazine, and helped market ideas and products such as the Ski Vermont Burger and Farmhouse Chowder.

"The essence of Vermont is really distinctive", says Kathy Murphy, Marketing Manager of VSAA, "Specifically for a skier or rider, it could be as literal as the terrain itself, the amount of terrain, the diversity of terrain, the snowmaking, snow grooming, etc. It could be that is the first and foremost on their mind."

But to most, it's the feeling of Vermont that people generally come back for every year. The feeling of being in a mountainous, snowy small town is what draws people back to the area. The hot cocoa, warm fires and falling snow puts people at ease, and welcomes them back to Vermont anytime.

Methodikal INC. also helps building magazines, posters, brochures and other content designed to grab the viewers' attention.
