St. Johnsbury select board has given the Front Row Sports Tavern 90 days to demonstrate that they can follow operating guidelines while selling liquor.
The Front Row Tavern has newly been the scene of nine liquor law violations. The bar is looking at violations like; furnishing alcohol to minors, employees displaying signs of intoxication while on duty, over serving patrons, and serving alcohol after hours. Robert

Robert Ricker owner of Front Row Sports Bar
Ricker has recently bought out his partner Daniel Zentz and is now the sole owner of the Railroad Street sports bar. Ricker was quoted saying, "Well I have been running this bar as a manager for three years and I have yet had a single violation in those threes, so my track record should stand for itself pretty much." He also feels with his partner out of the picture he should be able to meet the select board's operating guidelines. The present guidelines that the select board has come up with requires the bar to have an employee outside with the patrons to monitor the smoking lounge, all employees must wear identifiable clothing, and during evening hours the bar must be limited to people 21 and older to discourage underage drinking. The nine-day probation will begin if and when Robert Ricker is issued his liquor license by the state.
