Burke Town School Principal Resigns

WEST BURKE - New leadership is coming to Burke Town School after current principal resigns.

Members of the Burke School Board listened to Principal Janet Cerro as she submitted her resignation from the position that she's held for the last three years.

One reason for Principal Cerro's resignation was because of a possible job at a school closer to her home.

Principal Cerro thanked the school board for her experience in the position.

The school board accepted her resignation and returned the gratitude on behalf of the commitment Cerro has dedicated to the school.

The next step for the Burke Town School Board is the starting process of looking for a new principal, which has yet to be determined. Advertisements for the job opening has been posted.
