Line Dancing

LYNDONVILLE - A different kind of work happens at the Lyndon Municipal Building twice a week...line dancing.

Sharon Paton says, "I come to line dancing mostly for the mental stimulation and the memorization skills; I've always been lacking in that area."

Paton also says that line dancing makes her happy.  Linda Wagner comes to dance for a different reason.  "I lost my mother to alzheimers and one of the things they suggest is trying new and different things. Maybe it will help me and I won't get that dreaded disease."

Gloria Ruggles said that she is always very excited to go to class, in fact, she even wakes up early on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because she is that excited.

Claire Cassady teaches these classes. Cassady teaches because she loves to dance with other people.  Line dancing was not something she was brought up to do.  It wasn't until she ventured to Arizona that she had her first lesson.  She encourages people to come out and have a good time.
